WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
Speaking to , TBR Football’s chief football correspondent, Graeme Bailey, said: "Savage senior’s former club Birmingham City and Wrexham – his hometown club – are both watching Savage junior and are prepared to move for him this summer. Birmingham know they are playing in the Championship next season and they are ready to compete and push for immediate promotion to the Premier League, which was done recently by Ipswich Town.
"With that they are putting plans in place and Reading midfielder Savage is a player they like. He has been outstanding for Reading since joining from Manchester United in 2023."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Bailey added: "Reading are wanting to keep Savage, but that could very well be dependent on their own promotion push. Wrexham also are huge admirers. Wrexham are also looking towards next season and they will also look to have a healthy budget in the second tier. Savage is a player they would like, and given his Wrexham heritage, there is a clear appeal. They are already showing an interest in Tom Lawrence and signing two Welsh internationals with Wrexham connections, would be huge to the club and their fanbase."
