Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer has warned Tottenham fans not to expect a Daniel Levy departure despite all of the fallout from the collapsed European Super League.

The Tottenham chairman is facing strong opposition right now from supporters, largely for the club’s involvement in the aforementioned, with many now calling for him and ENIC to pack their bags.

This comes after Football Insider reported that owner Joe Lewis is looking to sell the Premier League outfit. And after all the backlash the current regime has received following the ESL farce, some Spurs fans may be starting to think this could be it for Levy and Lewis.

Palmer, however, is not too sure. When asked by FFC whether the ESL disaster could end up forcing Levy out of the club, the ex-Sheffield Wednesday player said:

“Well, Levy’s never been popular at Tottenham, has he? He’s never been popular, so I don’t think that changes his mindset [regarding staying at the club].”

Next on the agenda for Levy is finding a new permanent manager for Spurs following Jose Mourinho’s sacking.

That new manager, however, will not be Julian Nagelsmann, who will leave RB Leipzig for Bayern Munich in the summer.

مصادر من “يويفا”، أوضحت لصحيفة “ليكيب” الفرنسية، أنه تم فتح قضية تأديبية ضد ناصر الخليفي وليوناردو (على التوالي الرئيس والمدير الرياضي لباريس سان جيرمان)، وبشكل عام ضد نادي باريس سان جيرمان.

الموقف الغاضب للخليفي وليوناردو في نهاية المباراة ومن الواضح أنهما كان يشتكيان بشدة من التحكيم، هو موضع تساؤل.

تنص اللوائح التأديبية للاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم (UEFA) على عقوبات (المادة 11) لمن يخالف “المبادئ العامة للسلوك”.

ومن بين الحالات التي تم النظر فيها: من “يتصرف بطريقة مهينة أو خالف قواعد اللياقة”، تنص المادة 15 من نفس اللائحة على “السلوك غير الصحيح للاعبين والمسؤولين”، مع الإيقاف والغرامات.

لتحديد المسؤوليات، ستعتمد لجنة الانضباط في الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم على تقارير الحكم ومندوبه في المباراة،  لكنها تستطيع أن تذهب أبعد من ذلك، حيث يجوز استخدام أي وسيلة من وسائل الإثبات.

وتنص المادة 44 على أنه “يجوز استخدام أي وسيلة من وسائل الإثبات أثناء التحقيق والإجراءات التأديبية، مع مراعاة احترام كرامة الإنسان، في سياق التحقيق والإجراءات التأديبية، تشمل وسائل الإثبات الصحيحة التقارير والوثائق الرسمية، والشهادة، وجلسات الاستماع للأطراف ومفتشي الأخلاق والتأديب، والتفتيش في الموقع، وخبراء الإشعارات، والتسجيلات التلفزيونية والفيديو، والاعترافات وأي اعترافات أخرى كتسجيل أو وثيقة.

يكفي القول إنه في حالة وجود مقاطع فيديو تتعلق بسلوك قادة باريس سان جيرمان، سيمكن استخدامها في التحقيقات.

وكانت التقارير الصحفية أكدت أن أحد موظفي ريال مدريد كان يسجل المشهد وأن الخليفي، وهو يدرك ذلك، توجه نحوه ليهاجمه ويصرخ “سأقتلك”.

The Verdict: Cruel blow

Phillips had looked a certainty to make Southgate’s squad, potentially even starting their first game next month, partnering either Declan Rice or Jordan Henderson in midfield. He had started the majority of England matches since the start of the 2020/21 season, a sign that he had earned the trust of his international boss.

To miss out now would be a tough pill to swallow, with the 25-year-old a player at the peak of his powers and one who will have been desperate to impress on the world stage.

Hopefully the issue isn’t as serious as first feared and Leeds fans can watch their midfield hero shine for his country this summer.

However, according to a transfer update from Fabrizio Romano, he is ‘not close’ to sealing a move to Goodison Park any time soon, with the journalist claiming that ‘other clubs are joining the race’ for the 21-year-old.

The right-back has previously been linked with Barcelona and Manchester United, and according to The Times, it will cost £30m to prise away from Norwich, who have just been promoted as winners of the Championship.

It seems as if Everton are in the market for a long-term successor to veteran skipper Seamus Coleman, as the Republic of Ireland international will turn 33 this year.

Aarons has provided two goals and two assists from right-back this season, with match averages of 1.4 successful dribbles and 1.4 key passes per game highlighting his attacking prowess (WhoScored). Coleman has provided three assists in 2020/21 but not found the net himself, while his averages for the other two metrics are 0.8 respectively (WhoScored).

The Blues and the Canaries did mutual business last summer, with Ben Godfrey making a £24.75m switch from East Anglia to Merseyside. Attacking midfielder Kieran Dowell went the other way for a fee of £1.98m.

This year’s transfer window is set to open on June 9.

Graham Roberts has exclusively told The Transfer Tavern that reappointing Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham manager would “100 percent” be enough to convince Harry Kane to stay this summer.

The pair struck up a close relationship during the Argentine’s five-and-a-half years in north London, with the striker being given the opportunity to establish himself as a regular for both club and country thanks to Pochettino’s trust.

But Pochettino is currently managing PSG following his January appointment, but that hasn’t stopped those expected links with the Spurs vacancy after Jose Mourinho’s sacking last month.

Meanwhile, Kane’s future has come under serious doubt in recent weeks after reports suggested that the England captain will hand in a transfer request should Tottenham fail to qualify for the Champions League.

But Roberts believes that Daniel Levy should apologise to Pochettino and bring him back, and asked whether he thought the sensational return would keep Kane in north London, he told The Transfer Tavern:

“Yes, 100 percent [Kane would stay]. If I was Levy, I’d be on my knees. Sometimes you make mistakes.

“How do you resurrect that? If you must apologise to him or get together and say, this, this and this.

“He knows what the football club is about, he knows what the supporters want, he knows what the chairman wants, and he knows what the players want.”

West Ham United’s chances of qualifying for Europe were dealt a devastating blow as they were defeated by fellow hopefuls Everton at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Irons boss David Moyes will rue his side’s ineffectiveness in front of goal as the misfiring Londoners could’ve easily snatched something from the game considering they were only beaten by the solitary goal.

With all of the Hammers’ attacking options on the pitch, they really should’ve mustered up more of a threat in front of goal, especially as they dominated possession (68%).

Moyes was dealt an early injury setback in the first half which saw Manuel Lanzini forced off just before the break.

He was replaced by Jarrod Bowen, who was snubbed from the starting XI for the second successive game, so he surely had a point to prove to his manager.

However, he offered West Ham absolutely nothing in attack and as a result, he was graded amongst their worst performers (6.4) as per SofaScore ratings.

The Evening Standard’s Jack Rosser added further weight to this argument in his post-game column, where he claimed the former Hull City winger “made very little impact” from the bench and similarly, football.london suggested that he “missed a glorious chance to make it 1-1.”

Aside from that one golden opportunity, Bowen struggled to assert his dominance on the Toffees’ back four, registering only 26 touches – the same number goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski managed throughout the game.

To make matters worse, the Polish shot-stopper made more passes (13) than the 24-year-old (ten), too, and that only goes to show how fruitless he was in the 47 minutes he was on the pitch.

His one shot off target resulted in one big chance missed, whilst he was caught offside once and lost possession ten times – once every 4.7 minutes, and once every 2.6 touches, as per SofaScore.

Bowen’s struggle with the visitors was further seen by the fact that he won just 50% of his duels, with Lucas Digne and Michael Keane often getting the better of him on the day.

Considering it was only the second time this season that the £27m-rated attacker had been out of the starting XI in back-to-back matches, Moyes would have been expecting to see a reaction when subbed on but frustratingly, he may want to think again about his involvement in the coming matches.

Bowen was just one of many Irons stars to be unproductive but his place is most at risk compared to say, a Michail Antonio.

There are three very winnable games left remaining in Brighton, relegated West Brom and Southampton but the likes of Bowen will need to vastly improve if the Hammers are to top off their fantastic season with European qualification.
