Ainda invicto como mandante no Brasileiro, o vice-líder Palmeiras busca a quinta vitória seguida no campeonato, hoje, às 19h15, contra o CSA. O jogo no Pacaembu, válido pela 21ª rodada, corre o risco de ser aquele com pior público do Verdão em casa nesta edição.

Até o momento, a goleada por 4 a 0 contra o Fortaleza, na estreia, foi a partida mais esvaziada: 26.701 torcedores. Em sete dos outros oito embates como mandante, o Palmeiras jogou para, pelo menos, 30 mil pessoas (veja a lista completa abaixo).

Na quarta, véspera do duelo, a última parcial era de pouco menos de 20 mil ingressos vendidos. Muitos palmeirenses reclamaram do horário do jogo, previsto para o início da noite e próximo demais da saída do trabalho em horário comercial.

Os ingressos custam entre R$ 40 e R$ 150 e seguem à venda nas bilheterias do Pacaembu e site da Futebol Card.

Fletch [Duncan Fletcher] is a pretty astute coach, he’ll be watching all of these things and he’ll look to try and bring that in somewhere and give it a whirl,” Dawes told . “But the left-hander is a big advantage and that’s where the Indians don’t have anyone with real pace, or any left-hand bowlers here at the moment.”The 42 wickets shared between India’s pace trio of Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Mohit Sharma is one of the prime reasons for India’s unbeaten run in the tournament. Dawes said that one of them could attempt simulating a left-armer’s angle by bowling round the wicket.”No doubt they’ll try that. [But] around the wicket is going to be a bit harder than just having a left-hander there,” he said. “They will have watched that and will give it a go, and Umesh has definitely got the pace to do it but he’s not an overly tall man so that sort of changes the trajectory and the bounce. The left-armers are proving to be quite difficult throughout the whole tournament, aren’t they?”India’s bowlers will also have to overcome the “psychological damage” they endured during a tough summer. India lost the four-Test series 2-0 and were unable to make it to the finals of the tri-series that features Australia and England.”During the Test series they really struggled for consistency,” Dawes said. “They bowled some good balls, then really let the pressure off. It looks like maybe adapting to the conditions and getting their lengths right they’ve really improved their consistency so they’re building pressure now.”MS [Dhoni] leads them well in one-day cricket and they’ve sort of got on a roll. I still think under pressure they’ll be tested. I’m not sure they’ve been tested a great deal under pressure yet.”That’s going to be the real challenge in a semi-final against Australia, where there is that little bit of no doubt psychological damage over the summer where they’ve been hit around a bit.”The turnaround kicked off with India’s win against Pakistan in the opening match. Since then, they have dismissed every opposition en route to the semi-final, a feat they had never achieved in the past.”I think they have got the tools to hurt any side, it’s just whether or not they can be consistent enough to put the ball in the right area on the day, which they have and haven’t done throughout the summer.”

وقال ضياء السيد في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة etc: “مباراة شباب بلوزداد القادمة مهمة جدًا للأهلي قبل منافسات كأس العالم للأندية، وإن شاء الله الفريق يدخل بقوة وبروح عالية”.

وأكمل: “إصابة محمد عبد المنعم، والكدمة التي تعرض لها ياسر إبراهيم أمام يانج أفريكانز (المكان ده راكبه عفاريت وإصاباته كثيرة)؛ لذلك كان انضمام خالد عبد الفتاح في قائمة الأهلي بكأس العالم للأندية أمر حتمي”.

وأردف: “تابعت الحملة ضد إمام عاشور، اللاعب منذ انضمامه لـ الأهلي يؤدي بشكل جيد جدًا، ليس معنى أن مستواه لم يكن جيدًا في المباراة الماضية أن يتعرض لهذه الحملة، وأرى أن هذا الهجوم مُبالغ فيه، لأن اللاعب يؤدي بشكل جيد، لعب شوط سيء وخرج الأمر انتهى عند ذلك”.

وتابع: “عليه أن يغلق أذنيه ويعمل طوال الوقت لكي يكون في أفضل حالة، ويأخذ النقد بطريقة إيجابية، ويجب أن تعي ما المقصود من الانتقاد، وترد من خلال أدائك في الملعب ولمصلحة فريقك”.

وبسؤاله عن رأيه في استبعاد صلاح محسن وأحمد عبد القادر؟، أجاب: “كولر هو من يعيش مع الفريق، لكن بالتأكيد صلاح محسن كان يستحق الانضمام بدلا من موديست، لكن أعتقد أن كأس العالم للأندية هو التقييم للأخير قبل انتقالات يناير”.

وأضاف: “عبد القادر يحتاج أن يركز ويجتهد أكثر، لأنه لن يتضرر أحد إلا أنت، اللاعب هو من يملك أن يُعيد نفسه مرة أخرى”.

وأتم: “أتمنى فوز الأهلي على اتحاد جدة حال مواجهته في كأس العالم للأندية، الفريق السعودي قام بتغيير مدربه، ستكون مباراة قوية وسيكون الفوز من نصيبنا إن شاء الله”.

وكان الأهلي قد تعادل بنتيجة 1-1 أمام منافسه مباراة أفريكانز ‏في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما‎، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من دور المجموعات لدوري أبطال إفريقيا.

At 36, Daniel Vettori seems like he’s done it all in New Zealand cricket. He is the country’s most-capped Test and ODI player of all time, has captained in all three formats, has played in World Cup semi-finals. But this Saturday will bring a new experience for Vettori, when he will bowl on the reconfigured Eden Park for the first time.Of course, Vettori has plenty of experience at the venue: his 23 wickets at 29.95 makes him the most successful one-day spinner at Eden Park, where seamers dominate the all-time statistics. But Vettori has not bowled there since March 2010; the playing area has been altered in that time, with the pitch rotated and the straight boundaries shorter than ever.Under the current layout, the straight boundaries are officially measured at 55 metres from the centre of the pitch. That means the batsmen will face a 65-metre boundary past the bowler, with a 45-metre boundary past the wicketkeeper. The margin of error for all bowlers is therefore slim, and the importance of find the right length is paramount.Vettori may well go into the match as the only frontline spinner from either side, with Xavier Doherty unlikely to be called in for Australia, who tend to use Glenn Maxwell as their main slow-bowling option. Asked what it was like marking out a run-up with the boundary closer than at almost any other international ground on the planet, Vettori was honest.”It’s not great,” he said. “I haven’t actually played on these dimensions, I’ve only played on the old configuration. It will be a new experience for me. I’ve been talking to Nathan [McCullum] a lot about what he’s done here. He’s done a pretty good job. Spinners at times have done a reasonable job. The boundaries are daunting but you can still perform.”Sometimes getting away with the short ball is a little more difficult, because of how short the boundaries at fine leg and third man will be. I think it’s 45 metres from where the batter is facing.”Then there is the matter of the ODI fielding restrictions, which allow no more than four men outside the circle at any point, compared to five when the previous World Cup was held in 2011. With tongue firmly planted in cheek, Vettori suggested that perhaps that new rule would have less impact at Eden Park than at many other grounds.”The boundary is so small the fielders don’t really play a part do they, it just goes over them,” Vettori joked. “I think you just get used to it. Whatever happens, you get used to it, the layout of the ground.”The way the stands rise dramatically around the ground adds to the feeling of proximity, and the Australians certainly expect to be the target of some taunts from the Auckland crowd. But it is the possibility of on-field banter that has been the subject of much debate, with Australia’s yappy approach sitting in stark contrast to the way the New Zealanders play the game.The New Zealand coach Mike Hesson said this week that his players don’t get caught up in sledging – “We’re pretty respectful of our opposition and we’re competitive but we pretty much focus on our own job,” Hesson said. Rather remarkably, Vettori said that in his experience, the Australians were in the same boat.”It’s a little bit overstated,” Vettori said. “I think in my 18 years of playing, I can’t even remember being sledged by an Australian team. I think the way it’s portrayed is not quite right … I think it’s more about the physical contest. I think that’s the thing guys get up for and get excited about.”

Lalit Modi’s controversial second stint as the Rajasthan Cricket Association president dealt a severe blow as the opposition faction passed a no-confidence motion against him and his key aides, as per the Rajasthan High Court. It means the RCA elections will have to be conducted again. Since only 18 members – all of them Pathan supporters – were present at the scheduled time of 11am, the resolution was passed without a hitch.While Pathan remained unavailable for a comment, Mehmood Abdi, a key Modi aide, claimed sabotage by the Pathan lobby. In a statement Abdi claimed that members of the Modi faction were attacked by a mob on their way and prevented from reaching the venue at the scheduled time.”This is the mockery not only of the High Court order but a black day for every democratic institution. Somewhat like the lone student in a class coming first in the exam,” Abdi said. “Against this blatant use of brutal force in the broad daylight by hoodlums and depriving the legitimate members of their right to vote by the chairman of the RSSC [Rajasthan State Sports Council], we have moved the Rajasthan High Court and the matter is coming up tomorrow.”

Existem dois cenários que podem definir o adversário do Bonsucesso na semifinal geral. No primeiro, caso o America seja campeão do returno da Série B1, avança direto para a final e o Goytacaz aparece como adversário do Rubro Anil. No outro cenário, se o America não conquistar a Taça Corcovado, se torna o adversário do Bonsucesso por conta do regulamento.

– Não temos preferência por adversário. Conhecemos ambos e sabemos o quão qualificados são por terem chegado tão longe. Vamos fazer a nossa parte. O Russo (técnico Luciano Quadros) também conversou conosco e vamos seguir fazendo nossa preparação. Nosso time é bastante forte e temos condições de fazer um grande jogo – encerra o zagueiro.

A definição do adversário do Bonsucesso na semifinal será na próxima quarta-feira.

Against Kings XI Punjab’s dynamic seamers and yet-to-fire-properly batsmen, in conditions that will be swing-friendly, Daredevils’ resolve to arrest the slide will be severely tested.Only two of those losses have come this season but despite Daredevils being a massively rejigged team, the manner in which they lost could potentially bring that familiar cloud of depression back over their heads. JP Duminy saw positives in the one-run loss in Chennai, but when the team let the game against Rajasthan Royals slip, “heartbreak” was being mentioned. Daredevils need to beat that feeling because, in both previous matches, they have held their own for majority of the game.Kings XI have no such problems. They are slowly warming up into the tournament and are quietly waiting on the Glenn Maxwell/David Miller’s day out.Watch out for…Johnson v Yuvraj: A rip-snorter from Mitchell Johnson in Pune 18 months ago was perhaps the first sign of Yuvraj Singh’s decline. The batsman edged the bouncer to Phillip Hughes, the wicketkeeper. The next time he came in to bat, he was bounced out again, for a duck. In his next innings, he left a gap so wide between his bat and pad that Johnson could have bowled with a football and still hit the stumps. Another duck. Yuvraj only played six more ODIs after that. The way he is handling bouncers this time, expect Johnson to steam in the moment he arrives.Daredevils’ legspinners, Amit Mishra and Imran Tahir, have added much-needed bite to their bowling and since the two are slightly different, batsmen can’t apply the same rule to them. Mishra, slower of the two, relies on flight and turn, the conventional methods, while Tahir is skiddy and uses the googly more frequently. The two have already picked up eight wickets between them and will test left-handers and right-handers alike.Stats and trivia With 1133 runs, David Miller is the second-highest run-scorer for Kings XI Punjab. The top-scorer, Shaun Marsh with 1973 runs, doesn’t find a place in the XI Yuvraj Singh has scored 86 runs in his six previous IPL outings in Pune. However, in his previous match at the ground, he was Man of the Match for his 136 in the first innings of Punjab’s Ranji Trophy tie against Maharashtra Amit Mishra has been hit for 108 sixes in the IPL, the most for any bowlerQuotes”We just have to go out there and be positive and not think negatively at all. Pakistan captain Azhar Ali has said that the ODI series loss to Bangladesh with a match to go was a big blow to his side. He has asked for time for his team to stand up again, but doesn’t expect a quick turnaround.”It is a big blow for us,” Azhar said. “We are going through a rebuilding process. We have new guys in the team but we didn’t expect to lose here. We wanted to win, but we didn’t play good enough cricket.”Azhar said that they were 60 runs short of a good score after winning the toss, considered an advantage in Mirpur. “I think the wicket was good. I think we lost wickets at bad times, very quickly to start with. I think the wicket was easily 300-plus. It was coming on to the bat. We didn’t play well.”The bowling effort too wasn’t up to his expectations, as they lost with 71 balls to spare. Azhar felt that his attack would at least make a contest out of it, despite giving Bangladesh only 240 to chase. He said that they were unable to adjust to conditions in Bangladesh although they had bowled much better in the World Cup.Junaid Khan, Rahat Ali and Saeed Ajmal took one wicket each but all of them gave away more than five runs per over. Only Wahab Riaz kept things tight and created chances, but it was never going to be enough while defending 239.”When you go inside and have runs on the board you have to believe. We had to believe with the bowlers we had. I think we could have made a better effort. We definitely could have bowled better, 240 shouldn’t have been made like this.”Conditions were definitely different. In the World Cup they bowled really well. We haven’t seen the yorkers which they generally bowl.”Azhar said that they would still like to salvage something from the remaining ODI in Mirpur on April 22. He will ask his team for all-round improvement and wouldn’t like to see them so despondent.”We can’t just put our head down. Our heads should be up. We have got to work and play better cricket. We have to bat well, field well. It is a simple message that we have to improve in all three forms.”Azhar said that Haris Sohail, Saad Nasim and Riaz kept Pakistan in this game when almost everything was lost. He said that the lack of combined effort has hurt his side in the two games. Sohail scored 44 while Nasim made a maiden ODI fifty, top-scoring with 77. Riaz struck his second ODI fifty off just 39 balls.”I think Haris batted really responsibly. Obviously the new guy Saad Nasim contributed really well. I think Wahab Riaz and Nasim made us come back in the game. Otherwise we were nowhere. So it is good signs for us. We are giving performance in patches. We have to combine them as a team effort.”You can’t win on one or two performances. We have to perform as a team. I think we have very good cricketers. We have a bunch of good guys. I think if we keep trusting them, they can do well.”
