ونال محمد صلاح الجائزة للمرة الثانية في مسيرته، وذلك بعد أن تفوق على زميله في ليفربول، ساديو ماني وفيرجيل فان دايك، إلى نجم مانشستر يونايتد كريستيانو رونالدو، وصانع ألعاب مانشستر سيتي، كيفين دي بروين.

صلاح فاز بالجائزة بتصويت قادة الأندية ومدربي أندية البريميرليج، وحصدها بجدارة بعد أن سجل 23 هدفًا في الموسم الماضي بالبريميرليج، حيث توج هدافًا للبريميرليج ونال جائزة أفضل صانع ألعاب بـ13 تمريرة حاسمة.

There aren’t any guarantees that Liverpool and Mohamed Salah will reach an agreement over a new contract, according to The Athletic’s James Pearce. 

Salah has been with the club since 2017, and has gone on to score 125 goals in 203 appearances for the Reds, scarcely believable numbers in a hugely impressive spell to date with the Premier League side.

The 29-year-old is contracted with Liverpool until the summer of 2023, although it remains to be seen as to whether he’ll commit his future to the club anytime soon.

Pearce reports that agreeing a new contract with Salah remains Liverpool’s biggest priority out of their current front-three options, but it is not set in stone.

Liverpool are set to get their 2021/22 league campaign underway on Saturday 14th August, when they take on newly-promoted Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Many Arsenal fans have been left buzzing as a transfer update emerged on James Maddison.

Speaking to The Football Terrace, football journalist and transfer expert Pete O’Rourke has claimed (via LTArsenal):

“Maddison, this one is gathering pace. Arsenal are growing ever more confident that there is a possibility of a deal happening. Encouragement from both sides – representatives and a bit from Leicester City too. Player fancies move to Arsenal.”

The North London club are looking to recruit a new attacking midfield player to the Emirates Stadium, following the departure of Martin Odegaard back to Real Madrid after his loan spell ended.

Maddison could well fit the bill, having notched up a very impressive 11 goals and a further 10 assists in 41 games in total over all competitions across the 2020/21 season (Transfermarkt).

Comparing his stats in the Premier League to Odegaard in the last term, the Englishman averaged more shots (2.4) and key passes (1.6) per match (Whoscored), and thus could certainly be an upgrade for Mikel Arteta.

Nonetheless, taking him off the hands of the Foxes, who will be playing European football this campaign unlike the Gunners, would certainly be a statement signing.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham have made a bid to sign exciting young Rangers forward Kai Kennedy this summer – with the Gers now replying to their offer.

The Lowdown: West Ham recruiting youngsters…

Already this summer, West Ham have been busy in landing a plethora of young starlet signings – including the likes of Armstrong Oko-Flex, Thierry Nevers and Pierre Ekwah Elimby (football.london).

Indeed, manager David Moyes appears to have his eye on restructuring the Irons’ academy whilst bringing some star future talent to Rush Green.

Now, it appears West Ham have their eye on another one in forward Kennedy.

As per the Mail, an offer has emerged from West Ham to sign exciting youngster Kennedy this summer – with the Gers firmly replying to the £600,000 bid.

Rangers have rebuffed the approach, but the 19-year-old’s agent, Paul Tait, even confirmed the Irons’ fondness for Kennedy and that offers had been made. He confirmed that the club are ‘very keen’.

They apparently want to lure Kennedy down south and have been tracking him for months, but it appears they will have to wait longer to capture his signature.

The Verdict: Exciting starlet…

The teenager, lauded as a player who ‘excites people’ by former Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Robertson at the end of last year (Glasgow Live), would certainly come as West Ham’s biggest youngster signing yet.

He has even earned an admirer in Gers boss and Premier League legend Steven Gerrard, who once called Kennedy a ‘fabulous little player’ (Daily Record).

The forward is also pretty versatile and has experience playing in all sorts of positions up the pitch, including left wing, right wing, attacking midfield and even as a second striker (Transfermarkt).

Given his versatility, high praise and impressive form while on loan spells away from Ibrox, this certainly seems like an exciting one to keep an eye on for Hammers fans.

نجح فريقا أسوان والداخلية في التأهل لمنافسات الدوري المصري الممتاز خلال الموسم المقبل بعد أن ضمنا التربع على قمة ترتيب مجموعتي الصعيد والقاهرة.

O caso teve uma reviravolta porque o Grupamento Especial de Policiamento em Estádios (Gepe) garantiu a segurança nesta partida, que terá as duas torcidas.

O caso teve uma definição após um grande imbróglio. Antes da mudança de opinião da Prefeitura de Volta Redonda, as cidades de Juiz de Fora e Brasília tinham se recusado a receber o clássico. O motivo foi o mesmo em ambos os casos: não havia garantias de policiamento adequado para a partida em pleno sábado de Carnaval.

Além disso, os clubes conseguiram convencer a Justiça de que era possível realizar o jogo com as duas torcidas. No início desta semana, houve uma determinação para que os clássicos no estado do Rio tivessem apenas a torcida dos mandantes. No entanto, os clubes se posicionaram de maneira contrária a este posicionamento, assim como a Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

O prefeito de Volta Redonda, Samuca, falou sobre a reviravolta no caso e a confirmação do clássico na Cidade do Aço.

– Sem o apoio da Polícia do Rio, não teríamos condições de receber um jogo deste tamanho. Mas a partida está marcada para Volta Redonda depois que recebi uma ligação do presidente da Ferj (Rubes Lopes) e do Grupamento Especial do Rio (Gepe), garantindo o reforço na segurança. O jogo está marcado para Volta Redonda – disse o alcaide ao Globoesporte.com.

Moving into 2021/22, some changes will engulf an Elland Road side who achieved an impressive ninth placed finish last term.

Raphinha has been linked with a move to UEFA Champions League qualifiers Liverpool, whilst Kalvin Phillips has courted the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

However, while those are just rumours, one man who is definitely be departing Yorkshire this summer is 29-year-old North Macedonia international Alioski.

The Latest: Alioski confirmed to be leaving Elland Road after four years

As stated, the left-back is now officially set to leave Leeds United this summer, with neither club nor player able to agree an extension on his deal [Leeds Live].

Somewhat of a cult hero at the club thanks to his feisty reputation, he played a major role in Marcelo Bielsa’s EFL Championship winning side of 2019/20 [BBC].

Speculation will follow regarding his next move, with Galatasaray said to be closely monitoring his situation [Tribal Football].

The Verdict: Right time for club and player to part ways

All things considered, now is probably the correct time for Alioski and Leeds to part ways in an amicable fashion.

In 2020/21, the Prilep-born full back enjoyed a solid season within the Whites rear-guard, chipping in with six goal contributions in 38 fixtures; three goals and three assists [Transfermarkt], but he was suspect defensively at times.

All in, he registered 41 goal contributions in 171 fixtures during his time in Leeds, 22 goals and 19 assists [Transfermarkt].

Once described as ‘brilliant’ by ex-Sunderland forward Kevin Phillips, his efforts in a Leeds United jersey won’t be forgotten about any time soon [Football Insider].

Leicester City’s transfer plans have been dealt a big blow ahead of the upcoming window as Borussia Monchengladbach name their price for Jonas Hofmann.

What’s the story?

The German outfit’s sporting director Max Eberl has been discussing the much sought-after 28-year-old and revealed that a summer exit is on the cards, but only at €40m (£34.5m) or more.

“We live in a time when you can’t rule anything out,” Eberl told Bild am Sonntag (via bulinews.com).

“We certainly don’t want to sell Jonas. But if at some point a club is offering 40 million euros for Jonas, we can’t say we’re not interested.”

Rodgers will be gutted

Previous reports have claimed that Hofmann would be available for around £14m over the coming months, so to hear that his actual price tag is around £20m more than previously expected will surely leave Brendan Rodgers feeling gutted.

It’s believed that the former Liverpool and Celtic boss wants to strengthen out wide to add cover for Harvey Barnes ahead of next season. A serious knee injury cut the England international’s campaign short in 2020/21, and the lack of natural replacements saw Ricardo Pereira and Ayoze Perez playing out of position in the final weeks of the season.

However, with two years left to run on his contract, an abundance of potential suitors, and Gladbach in no desperate need to sell, it appears that Hofman will only be departing the Bundesliga side for a premium price.

The Germany international was one of the club’s standout performers in the 2020/21 campaign, bagging eight goals and providing an impressive 13 assists in all competitions, but it’s not the first time he’s caught the eye.

“He’s been one of our outstanding players, one of the winners of the season. He’s been playing brilliantly,” said former Gladbach coach Dieter Hecking back in 2019

Continental giants such as Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are also credited with an interest in Hofmann, further reducing the Foxes’ chances of securing the 28-year-old.

If Rodgers wants his Leicester side to finally break into the Premier League’s top four next term, then it looks like he may have to do so without one of his main transfer targets.
