أعلن المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي إيبسويتش تاون، كيران ماكينا، تشكيل اللاعبين الذين سيخوضون مباراة بورنموث في الجولة الخامسة عشر من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وتنطلق مباراة إيبسويتش تاون وبورنموث في تمام الساعة الرابعة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” على ملعب “بورتمان” بقيادة الحكم، مايكل ساليسبري.

ويحتل إيبسويتش المركز الثامن عشر في ترتيب البطولة برصيد 9 نقاط، بينما يحل بورنموث في المركز العاشر برصيد 21 نقطة.

وشهد تشكيل إيبسويتش تاون تواجد لاعب الوسط المصري وقائد الفريق، سام مرسي أساسياً في مباراة اليوم.

Essentially, it came down to investment from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, or PIF. You'll have heard a lot about it when PIF purchased Newcastle United, of course.

The same fund purchased majority stakes in Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad. The former two are the biggest clubs in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The latter two are the biggest in Jeddah, the country's second-largest city. All four now have incredible wealth behind them and are looking to make waves.

Saudi Pro League 2024 summer transfer window dates

The Saudi Pro League's summer transfer window is set to open on July 1, 2024, which near enough aligns with the rest of Europe's top leagues.

The window will remain open until September 7, 2024, whilst the other leading divisions in Europe will slam their doors shut on 1st.

Players who joined the Saudi Pro League

A steady stream of players have followed in Ronaldo's footsteps by ditching European football for a go at the Saudi Pro League and that trend is expected to continue this month.

The RSL outlaid an eye-watering £701.3m on transfer fees last summer, which doesn't account for the colossal wages on top of that.

So who decided to make the move? Here's a rundown of the 20 most expensive signings:

In the winter transfer window, things were rather quiet in comparison to the summer, with clubs putting their wallets away to recover from what was a mental 2023 for transfers.

However, with the months flying by, there are a few rumours that have been circling around already ahead of the summer…

Chelsea to Al-Ittihad

According to Rudy Galetti (as per Tribal Football), Al-Ittihad have already opened talks over the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in the summer.

Al-Ittihad and other teams from the Middle East have shortlisted the Belgian as a "main target", which won't come as an issue for the Blues as they've done just fine without him this season.

Everton to Saudi Pro League

According to Football Insider, Saudi Pro League clubs are ready to pounce to sign Idrissa Gueye this summer.

According to reports, Gueye's contract with the Toffees is set to expire this summer, and Saudi Pro League teams are 'ready to approach' him. The Senegalese player would be interested in relocating to the Middle East.

For Gueye, joining a Saudi Arabian team is reportedly seen as "an attractive proposition."

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool to Saudi Pro League

Jose Enrique has claimed (as per Grosvenor Sports) that Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool this summer if the opportunity to move to the Saudi Pro League presents itself.

He stated:

“If the right offer comes then I think Salah will leave because I think he was actually trying to leave last summer. They were offered something like £200 million for him last summer and that was a real offer!

“When you get an offer like that, usually it means there is already an agreement between the player and the club. I think Salah had already agreed to go and I believe that he will finally go to Saudi Arabia this summer.

“Jurgen Klopp is leaving so it is the perfect time for Salah to go. There is a new cycle happening at Liverpool and lots of changes, so it is perfect for him. This will likely be the final big contract of his career, so I think he’ll leave for Saudi Arabia.”

This comes after a string of very sub-par performances from the Egyptian.

صحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية، أكدت أن برشلونة أصبح الآن ضمن المهتمين بالتعاقد مع اللاعب السويدي، حيث أن البلوجرانا يبحث عن خليفة لـ روبرت ليفاندوفسكي المهاجم البولندي.

وأشار دافيد بيرنابيو، الصحفي المقرب من نادي برشلونة، إلى أن فكرة النادي الكتالوني، هي التعاقد معه في الصيف المقبل مقابل 70 مليون يورو، ومن ثم إعارته لـ سبورتينج لشبونة.

سبورتينج يطلب أكثر من 70 مليون يورو للتخلي عن جيوكيريس، لكن برشلونة سيحاول إقناع لشبونة بذلك المبلغ، وإعارته لمدة عام مع المشاركة في دفع راتبه، وهو ما يراه النادي الإسباني عرضًا لا يمكن رفضه من قبل نظيره البرتغالي.

ويرى برشلونة أنه في حالة الموافقة على ذلك العرض، سيكون مكسبا كبيرا، حيث أن ليفاندوفسكي سيكون أمامه موسما حتى نهاية عقده، ولا ينوي البلوجرانا التجديد له مع تقدمه في العمر.

في ذلك الوقت، يكون جيوكيريس يحصل على دقائق أكثر بدلًا من التواجد كبديل لـ ليفاندوفسكي، ومن ثم ينضم للبلوجرانا في الوقت المناسب.

جدير بالذكر أن جيوكيريس صاحب الـ26 عامًا، سجل هذا الموسم 24 هدفًا وصنع 4 أهداف خلال 19 مباراة بمختلف المسابقات مع سبورتينج لشبونة.

نجح فريق بيراميدز في تحقيق فوز مستحق على نظيره البنك الأهلي بنتيجة 3-1، بالمباراة التي جرت بينهما اليوم ببطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

وفي الدقيقة 53 أضاف صديق أوجولا الهدف الثاني لبيراميدز، من تصويبة قوية بعد انفراده بحارس البنك الأهلي وصوبه مباشرة في المرمى.

وسجل صديق أوجولا هدف بيراميدز الثالث والثاني له في الدقيقة 77، بعد كرة عرضية من مصطفى فتحي قابلها مروان حمدي برأسية ارتطمت بالقائم وارتدت إلى أوجولا ليسددها داخل الشباك.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly not ruled out the idea of replacing Erik ten Hag with a "breathtaking" manager at Manchester United this summer, according to a key update.

Ten Hag has been under pressure throughout this season, with results and performances in the Premier League not good enough, while Champions League elimination came in the group stage.

In fairness to the Dutchman, last weekend's stunning 4-3 win at home to Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals has given him some leeway, but it would still be a surprise if potential successors weren't being looked at should Ratcliffe feel the need to make a big decision in the summer.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is one potential candidate for the job, with the 44-year-old impressing at the Amex Stadium, getting them into Europe and playing an attractive brand of football along the way. England boss Gareth Southgate has also emerged as a target for the Red Devils, with his relationship with likely new sporting director Dan Ashworth, formerly of the FA, a strong one.

Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann remains one of Europe's most highly thought-of young coaches, and he has also been linked with being Ten Hag's replacement at the end of the season. He is expected to leave his current role after Euro 2024 this summer, at which point he could be keen to get another job immediately.

Ratcliffe eyeing "breathtaking" Ten Hag replacement

According to a fresh update from ESPN, Ange Postecoglou could be an option for Manchester United this summer should Ten Hag be sacked.

The Australian only became Tottenham manager last year, but Ratcliffe is reportedly keen to be as "ambitious as possible with his appointments to key positions", and the idea of Postecoglou coming in has "not been ruled out".

The 58-year-old is an intriguing option for United this summer, having impressed greatly in his first season at Spurs, catching the eye with his style of play but also getting his side in a good position to finish in the top four. He won back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles with Celtic in 2021/22 and 2022/23, showing that he knows how to get over the finish line, and United legend Gary Neville has lauded him, saying:

"What he has done in such a short period of time is quite staggering because he has not only implemented what would be an idea of play, he has put something in place that is breathtaking to watch, that actually is quite complex when you watch it from a football point of view."

Meanwhile, Owen Hargreaves hailed the "beautiful attacking football" that Postecoglou played at Celtic in the past, further showing how highly he is rated by many. He also carries himself with class, which could also appeal to Ratcliffe, and while Spurs are a big club in their own right, the lure of the United job could be huge.

Williams currently remains focused on La Roja's Euro 2024 campaign. The youngster has featured in their starting lineup in the first two matches of the group stage and will be next seen in action against Albania on Monday night.

Despite Newcastle United's January transfer window focusing largely around potential departures, the Magpies could yet welcome two reinforcements in last-gasp moves. With just a matter of hours until the deadline, those at St James' Park will have to act quickly to secure their second Premier League gem of the day after Alfie Harrison signed earlier.

The headlines surrounding Newcastle in the transfer window have all been about their need to sell players. Newcastle's loss reportedly stands at £155m over the last three seasons and, therefore, over the Premier League's allowance of £105m. The fact that investment into the women's side, academy and charity foundation does not count towards that figure should keep the Magpies within the rules, but they're certainly walking a tightrope.

The news of their financial losses has seen the likes of Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron and Kieran Trippier all linked with moves away from St James' Park this month, albeit without any of those exits coming to fruition. Now, as the window edges closer and closer to slamming shut, Eddie Howe and co are finally getting some business done, focusing on cheaper additions that can help them long term, confirming the arrival of Harrison from Man City earlier on Thursday.

Now, according to The Daily Mail, via The Boot Room, Newcastle are also eyeing a "last minute" move for Oliver Arblaster from Sheffield United ahead of the deadline. The midfielder spent the first-half of the season on loan at Port Vale before being recalled by the Blades, attracting the interest of Newcastle, Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.

It remains to be seen whether a move will take place this late in the winter window or whether Newcastle and others will now wait until the summer to make their move. Arblaster, still only 19-years-old, could prove to be a future star at the heart of Howe's Newcastle midfield.

"Brilliant" Arblaster is one for the future

It hasn't exactly been the most exciting month for Newcastle when it comes to the transfer window, but that doesn't take away from how wise the addition of Arblaster would be. The teenager is one who will only likely get better and better, meaning that now could be the best time for the Magpies to strike given their need to avoid big spending. And if they plan on staying among the European places for years to come, then investing in the future may well be their best bet, starting with two special talents.

Earning plenty of praise at the Blades, Sheffield United Head of Player Development Jack Lester had nothing but good things to say about Arblaster on X, posting:

Keeping hold of key players could take priority at St James' Park in the remaining hours of the window, but once they complete that task, they should turn their attention towards a future gem in the form of Arblaster, who managed four goal involvements from midfield whilst on loan at Port Vale in the first half of the campaign.
