Arsenal fans on Twitter react to Markus Schubert rumour

Arsenal fans on Twitter have been reacting after a transfer rumour from The Independent was shared by a fan account on the social media platform.

The rumour stated that the Gunners are close to signing young German goalkeeping talent Markus Schubert from 2. Bundesliga outfit Dynamo Dresden.

The deal will be a free transfer if it goes through and Unai Emery is looking to loan the 21-year-old out in his first season as a Gunner.

Normally the chance to sign one of the brightest starlets in Europe would heavily excite members of the Emirates Stadium faithful, but they’re not all convinced this time around.

They were in fact split on the Schubert rumour on Twitter with some liking the sound of the shot-stopper and others suggesting a move is “needless” due to the presence of Emiliano Martinez at the club, while trying to remind Emery of his present priorities.
